EE & R, 1_1: The Problem of the History of Judaism: Has Judaism Come to an End?

As we delve deeper into the prophetic books of Judaism, a grave problem comes into sharp focus. The more profoundly we understand Judaism as revealed in these works, the more bewildering it becomes: It appears that this wondrous religion has vanished from our midst.
What may begin as a nagging feeling gradually transforms into an unbearable incongruity. Imbibe the messages of the books that disclose the prophetic word and immerse yourself in their world, and upon returning to the common world of your own experience, you are inevitably confronted with the enigma posed by the cessation of that word and its activity. The voice of divine communication clarifying the workings of providence through the Jewish nation has ceased, and silence reigns. Man is alone as if forgotten by Hashem, as if Hashem has terminated His relationship with mankind rooted in prophetic contact and, forsaking His people and covenant, deserted humanity.
No honest student can help but arrive at this troubling conclusion. The living Word has breathed its last and expired. Though we are left with the law, guidance, inspiration and timeless lessons, the absence of the dynamic and timely "So said Hashem..." seems to reduce Judaism to a lifeless shell of its true self.
Therefore, we are compelled to ask: Has Judaism truly come to an end?
No, Judaism has not come to an end, it is just that the Judaism which you describe has been hidden and even “underground” for a long time. The practices and mentalities of Jewish mysticism offer what you seek. There is a serious relationship between the attainment of mystical consciousness and the transmission of divine prophetic revelations.
But here is the problem with this variety of the Jewish mystical experience: in many, many ways it is a deeply disturbing and unpleasant business. The realizations one has while studying the prophets and attempting to induce their state of mind are rather scary and even shocking to a degree. They will transform those who practice them. This is a far darker, more bizarre world than most people realize... ✌️
Oh, and Zionism counts as a component of Judaism and it is the mainstream position in America. Israel is also a very strong country and makes very significant global contributions across industries. And Israel isn’t going anywhere either. Their military and espionage are tremendously effective and I anticipate they will continue to be very effective shields ensuring the survival of the Jewish state. 🇮🇱🇺🇸✊
